Your body is a direct reflection of how you experience your life.
If the waters within you are turbulent—if there’s a storm of illness, emotional upheaval, hyperarousal—the sea cannot reflect the sky.
You cannot connect to your truth; you cannot anchor in your integrity and move from a space of clarity, trust, and compassion.
If the waters within you are calm, you reflect the sky perfectly. You feel balanced. You interact with others from a place of authenticity. You see things as they are.
With Chinese and Japanese Acupuncture and herbalism, we aim to help you weather the storm and restore balance in your life, to reach your full human potential.
We use Traditional Chinese & Japanese medicine, acupuncture, and other techniques to move and direct these rivers of energy in the body back into their natural state of alignment.
Without flow, we may feel stuck, tense, and anxious. Without direction, we may feel lethargic and lack motivation.
We are constantly moving in and out of balance—this is our natural state. However, sometimes we get stuck in disharmony because of events in our lives we are either aware or unconscious of.
Acupuncture gently directs the flow of energy in your body—it marries the yin and yang, the two polarizing forces that unite to create harmony in the body and mind. It regulates the nervous system so we may move freely between rest and activity, meeting the needs of the present moment with ease.
Yin energy moves inwards and downwards and relates to the parasympathetic nervous system (aka rest and digest mode), where you feel calm, compassionate, and creative in harmony, or shut down and cold in disharmony.
Yang energy moves upward and outwards and relates to the sympathetic nervous system (aka fight-flight-freeze mode), where you take action and feel energized and focused, in harmony, or overstimulated in disharmony.
So if you are feeling:
Fed up with chronic pain
Overwhelmed and overworked
Disempowered from physical injuries and health imbalances
Depleted from a significant life change, loss, grief, or trauma
And your mind is saying:
I don’t know how to get to the bottom of this
I don’t trust I have the answers
I don’t know how to find the answers
I’ll never heal or feel better
..then this is an opportunity to turn towards these signals and learn what your body is communicating in order to shift back into balance.
We are here to support your healing journey with a safe space to be curious and honest. It isn’t a quick fix and may not be comfortable, but with the right tools, everything you seek is available.
We won’t shy away from painful truths because we know from personal experience that it’s the way to a more easy way of being.
It also takes time for the body to shift into balance. We encourage you to work with acupuncture for at least 2-3 sessions.
Your needs are uniquely yours. Together, we will decide the best approach to achieving your health goals that work within your means.
Our intention is for you to feel connected to your innate vitality that sits next to your pain and discomfort, so you can feel refreshed, balanced, and at ease to live freely.
